Macaroni and chips! Food Love...

The last meal at work! New year's resolution will start as of tomorrow, with salad's and healthy juice drinks (well, at least I like to think it would be).

The work cafe served the following: Bacon, egg, vegetable soup and a selection of salad. I decided to go for the best choice, Macaroni and chips, and wait for it.........a dollop of Heinz ketchup, oh yes!

I finished the meal off with the super amazing drink, Fanta-Icy lemon! This is the last fizzy drink I'm having for this year, lets hope I stick to the New year's resolution.

Hope you had a good lunch too!

Happy New Year!

Box of Meltykiss.

Feast your eyes on this box of awesomeness! If this year has brought me anything, it has certainly brought me a box full of velvet loving. Forget your bar of Galaxy, Cadburys or even Lindt for that matter! Ok maybe not Lindt, but Meltykiss sure as hell is a box of heaven.

It is not readily available in the U.K, but it is easy to buy off the net. One little cube of heaven is simply not enough - you have been warned!

I'm totally obsessed with this chocolate at the moment, it's a must have for my desk at work!

Today is the last day of the year! Eat all you want, vomit, then eat some more! Spend all your money in the bank account, burn all the bills- Go crazy!!!...OK, I joke!

May the coming year bring you all the happiness, food and chocolate you have ever dreamed of.

Beef chilli and Strawberry flapjack mousse at work.

The menu today was a right fattening one, oh how I love work food. I grace my presence nearly every day at the work cafe, sometimes it becomes a chinwag session, but the service is always fun.

The Menu speaks for it self, I wasn't really fancying the soup of the day, in the end I went for the mains.
I ordered Beef chilli with lime Mascarpone, it was more spicy than they normally serve, just how i like it. The meal was a stodgy consistency and I opted out on the rice.

I would have preferred basmati rice however it was the thick grained rice served. I had mine with a nice helping of salad.

Amen to the Jalapenos, they are just super amazing! Super zing on my tongue - Oh yes!

Regrettably, I could not finish it off, you can't blame me! Especially with the portion I had! I decided to put the leftovers in a pot to eat later on in the afternoon!

The chef served strawberry flapjack mousse, it was a really light dessert and heavenly on the lips!

I look forward to the dessert that is offered tomorrow at the workplace cafe!

Bubble tea/bubbleology-Knightsbridge

An amazing day out in london, after hour's of shopping me and my friend decided to take time out with a cup of bubble tea in Knightsbridge. This is the latest craze in the tea world, it filled our afternoon with bubbles of happiness.

I ordered banoffee pie bubble tea and my friend ordered mango, both were infused with Jasmine tea. The experience left me wanting more, each ball of jelly bubble was like a party in the mouth, but with a few bubbles in, I did not want any more, so instead I finished the drink leaving the balls of jelly at the bottom. It was topped off with whipped cream-rather scrumptious.

The scenery was as if you stepped into a science lab, it was bright and the staff were friendly (especially when giving their opinion on the famous favourites).

Loads of tea selection available for all types of taste buds, whether you want fruity flavoured or simple breakfast tea. There is a selection of bubbles also, and they offer hot teas too!

Fill your world with bubbles at bubbleology!

Burger & Lobster

There's no mistaking what you're going to get at this restaurant. Burger or Lobster. The exterior is modern and inviting, the interior is tastefully simple, very chic and the staff are polite and attentive.

We went here one afternoon a couple of months ago and had to wait for 15 minutes to get a table. There wasn't much time spent on choosing our meal, so we ordered and were served very quickly. Lobster for me and burger for my sister were excellent, paired with salad and fries, left us pleasantly stuffed.

I highly recommend you book a table as its a popular venue!

Beirut restaurant- Park royal

The outing to Beirut restaurant was a simple and sweet one. I was craving arias flatbreads so ordered this plate of love.

Arias is a flatbread filled with succulent mince meat, but this one was slightly dry and was missing caramalised onions. It was a small snack, as I was catching up with a friend of mine and I was pretty much full from the night before. It came with a bit of salad and whole chilli, oh how I love whole chillis!

Once you have tasted the finest morrocan tea in Morroco, you always crave it! So I decided to have a pot, it has to be lifted slightly higher when pouring so it gives a slight froth in the cup. Its great for relaxation and digesting...ooh I love a cup of M tea!

Its a tiny place in park royal and offers shisha too, the food is okay but nothing too exciting. Im a big fan of the tea selection, the staff are very attentive and make sure you have everything you want.

Night out at LEVANT

Had an amazing evening last night. I dined with my close friend and sister at Levant in wigamore street london. We ordered mezze for starters, which was  a bowl of houmous, mixed spiced houmous, and mixed herb with tomatoes . This came with 3 mini flat breads.

The mains were mixed meat, lamb and chicken The lamb was not as succulent as I wanted.

Once we had the starters and mixed meat, by the time the chicken leg came we were full to the brim. I had a nibble but could not finish it! The rice was nice, homemade style without it being spiced up.

We were bursting from the seams at this point! The sweet selection offered was as follows: fresh fruit, Turkish delight, and chocolate brownies.

I just about had a nibble on the Turkish delight, they were very tasty- not as sweet as they normally are (you know what I'm talking about hopefully).

With all that eating, one must relax and wash it down with sweet a pot of Lebanese tea. This really refreshed the pallet. I highly recommend it at Levant.

The mocktails were super yum, I ordered virgin coloda with blue lagoon, it was a smurf colour drink! So creamy and refreshing!

The restaurant has a deep morrocan theme, with lanterns and red coloured furniture to add to the middle eastern theme. The night finished off with belly dancers seducing the punters- well not literally, but it was a great night!

The ambience, coupled with friendly staff makes this a perfect place to dine.

If you have been to Kenza, then this won't ball you over, but it has its own magic to offer!

Fish and Chips!

Work cafe has served the mains! I brought fish and chips, with a dollop of gherkin cream sauce and ketchup (Heinz to be precise).

I look forward to Fridays, its a fish and chips day! Nothing like traditional british food on a cold windy afternoon. Especially with most colleagues on holidays. One needs comfort food to get through the day!

Oh and lets not forget the can of icy lemon Fanta drink, at a bargain of 20p, this is totally my favourite drink right about now.

Whats cooking goodlooking?

RED IRON BURGERS- Uxbridge

This place is situated in the middle of the uxbridge high street, they serve generous helpings of chips with the massive burgers!

You will not leave this place hungry! I usually order the spicy lamb burger, the sweet potato chips are so yummy but the pic consisted of normal chips.

Don't forget to go for the challenges if you think you hard enough, and the man size milkshakes are just super filling!

I recommend this place if you are super hungry after a massive day of sale shopping.

The staff are friendly too, but as always take ages bringing the food to the table!

Happy sale shopping!

Xmas dinner

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic day full of foodlovegrub!! I personally spent the morning slaving away at the kitchen cooking the xmas meal for my loved ones!

I made mashed sweet potatoes, brussel Sprout's, carrots, gravy and roast potatoes. The night before I marinated the whole chicken, I like it a bit spicy so put together a homemade paste.

Christmas is a great time to catch up with close friends and people you truely care about as well as watching the queen speech!

Right I'm off to laze around and rest my lil self x

Danesfield House Hotel-Marlow

I went here a couple of months ago with some amazing friends, its such a glamorous setting. Its such a historical hotel with an old vintage interior in one room, and a very pretty 1920's look in the main tea room.

The gardens are so beautiful, such a pretty setting- I fell in love with this place.

I ordered a platter of cakes and tea, the pics show you a few I had in the afternoon tea and as always I chose "Assam tea". I would definatley come here again!

Meat and wine Co

Admittingly I didn't take any food pics, but in the background you can see the restaurant has a funky modern look.

I love dining here after shopping in Westfield's. The lamb chops are just gorgeous OMG, given the chance I can have loads. It is slightly pricey-especially when you have spent loads on shopping but its such a lovely place. I would highly recommend it!

Pasta and Bolognese at work

Today I had pasta bolognese at work, they made a selection of pasta but I chose the above! Mixed with carbonara sauce it was rather delicious.

I love my spices, this had a hint of it but not overdosed the way I like it. Food at work rocks but sometimes they can get it wrong.

The dessert was a chocolate pudding for £1.00, I would have brought it, but my mains were extremely filling.

I need to hit the gym tonight to work this off, but im glad i washed it all down with orange juice!!

Happy Lunching people!

Tipu Sultan-Majestic dining (Birmingham)

I went here over a month ago, I was really impressed with the regal decoration. There was a section of booths and close knit dining tables.

There was a mixture of decoration pieces, the chandeliers were gorgeous, but my favourite was the swinging bed/seat which is placed as you walk into the restaurant.

I ordered butter chicken which was scrumptious, not the best I tasted but it was rather nice. The menu is all based on the food at the time of the emperors reign- Tipu Sultan.

Mamounia Lounge Dining (Mayfair)

Saturday night 21/012/2013- Amazing night with friends at Mamounia Lounge in Mayfair. I spent the evening gobbling down succulent cut up lamb pieces which were on a plate oozing their natural juices. This platter was on a wooden long plate. We ordered a round of mixed grill which consisted of lamb kebabs and chicken cubes, along with a tasty brown sauce.

The ambiance of this restaurant coupled with the friendly staff made this night really amazing!

If you love shisha, they also have a a section for the shisha lovers- You might want to book in advance as it is a popular place and parking is not too bad either (as long as you go in the evening).

lovings,

FOODLOVEGRUB.
The food platter for my workplace- This consisted of wraps, samoses and battered prawns. There was loads of homous! Having a mixture and a variety is great for all food lovers, gives you a chance to bring all your favourite people together.

Highly recommend the mini lamb burgers, piled up to the top- They look ridiculously cute as a center piece.

Merry Xmas,
